This time next week, families across America will be traveling to meet loved ones, gathering the last of the ingredients required for their big dinner, and eagerly anticipated Thanksgiving Day.
Yet in this year in which many have been battered about by recessionary winds and other storms beyond their control, there will be some who find it difficult to give thanks.
This happens especially when one's focus is on his circumstances and not on the Cross. My family certainly hasn't had the easiest of years either. But, as Oprah says, one thing I know for sure, there is always a reason to give thanks.
Life is about more than our circumstances, our hardships, our challenges.
There's more to this life, living and dying.
More to this life, more than just trying to make it through the day...
So no matter where you find yourself, consider one reason, just one, to give thanks. Not only next Thursday, but every day. Make that a mantra. One day of life, one reason to give thanks. Start your day that way. It's a habit that will shift your focus and set the tone for the remainder...of your life.
Peace & Blessings,
Patricia
